   Administrative Coordinator - BEST LAB ((Bergeron Entrepreneurs in Science & Technology)

 The Lassonde School of Engineering at York University is a new professional school designed to create Renaissance Engineers™ – entrepreneurial engineers with a social conscience and a sense of global citizenship. At Lassonde we’re empowering Renaissance Engineers™ by transforming the student experience, revolutionizing the classroom environment, developing a multidisciplinary curriculum and integrating learning with industry. “The Lassonde School of Engineering aims to graduate entrepreneurial engineers with a social conscience and a sense of global citizenship.”

A 2012 donation of $2 million by Douglas Bergeron and his wife Sandra Bergeron donating $2 million created the BEST (Bergeron Entrepreneurs in Science & Technology) program at the Lassonde School of Engineering. The BEST program supports entrepreneurial programs and initiatives at Lassonde focused on enabling engineering students to develop business skills and understand what it takes to launch a start up enterprise.

We are currently recruiting for an Administrative Coordinator - BEST LAB ((Bergeron Entrepreneurs in Science & Technology) to work at Lassonde School of Engineering for this exciting opportunity. You will bring superior administrative skills, scrupulous event management, excellent organizational, relationship building and problem solving skills (to just name a few!).

Under the direction of and/or in consultation with the Director, BEST, the Lab Administrative Coordinator - BEST provides administrative support and coordinates the activities within the BEST (Bergeron Entrepreneurs in Science & Technology) Lab, and BEST outreach activities on and off campus. In addition, this positon will coordinate Interactive activities linked to Engineering coursework and activities linked to the new digital badging platform and BEST certificate.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will possess:

University Degree in Business/Entrepreneurship or Engineering. Two years’ experience in administration or project coordination. Experience must include, accounting/finance responsibilities, calendar coordination and website content maintenance.
