Job Description


In the context of our company’s growth, we are seeking the services of a Technical Supervisor, Client Services. You will report to our Director of Quality, and will be responsible for the coordination of all customer requirement activities, client case management, as well as the evaluation and resolution of problems encountered by end-users.

Your main responsibilities will be as follow:

  • Record and manage cases involving problems submitted by clients;

  • Review and analyze lighting products following the report of major problems, and make decisions regarding their replacement;

  • Analyze and propose recommendations regarding compatibility issues (dimmers, drivers, ballasts);

  • Offer technical assistance to sales and marketing services regarding product support;

  • In cooperation with General Operations Manager in China, coordinate communications with suppliers regarding returns, credits or replacement of defective products;

  • Examine returns and undertake quarantine process for product recalls;

  • Work in collaboration with the Director of Quality  to review client problems;

  • Supervise the work of a Client Services Technician regarding the management of returned products, lab analysis and problems submitted by clients;


To meet this challenge, you must have:

  • A baccalaureate degree in electrical engineering or relevant qualifications as well as five years’ experience in the field of electronics or electricity;

  • Knowledge in the field of  LED lighting systems;

  • Knowledge of North-American electrical networks;

  • Knowledge in the field of electronics, namely, AC/DC converter and rectifier circuits as well as the workings of dimmer devices;

  • An understanding of the lighting standards ie: C22.2-250 and the UL1598 series, DLC, Energy Star;

  • Experience in the area of personnel management;

  • Acting member of the OIQ (Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec) would be an asset;

  • Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office system;

  • Excellent command of spoken and written English and French;

  • Strong leadership qualities as well as an aptitude for analyzing and resolving problems; aptitude for public speaking;

  • Strong client services skills; excellent teamwork qualifications as well as a good planning organizational abilities;

  • A superior ability in priority management as well as proficiency in simultaneous multi-tasking;

  • A strong sense of autonomy as well as being detail oriented;

  • The ability to adapt to change;
