Reporting directly to the Strategic Project Manager and collaborating with Warehousing and Shipping Managers, the Project Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring logistics projects, and following up on various continuous improvement programs geared toward operational excellence.
More specifically, the incumbent will be expected to:
Design, review and develop investment requests. The expertise provided must take into account the technical aspects and the project’s impact on the Cooperative’s strategic vision, as well as human and financial resources.
Develop manufacturing processes to improve operational performance and add value to the organization
Coordinate the work performed by a multidisciplinary team involved in project implementation (internal or external resources)
Lead various workshops to identify improvement opportunities, track performance indicators and implement action plans
Support and advise team members (dozens of sites across Canada)
Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, operations management or other equivalent educational background
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in logistics, primarily related to continuous improvement and logistics project management
Experience in database management, logistics process reengineering and troubleshooting techniques
Excellent communication skills; team player
Multitasking, priority management skills; timely response to deadlines
Capability to mobilize teams toward implementing change
Excellent command of English and French, spoken and written
Willing and able to travel occasionally
